This is a great video created by DeedeeMom, and shown on his YouTube channel. It was created for the YouTube “What do you stand for?” competition in 2007.
The video is short; it has music in the background but no talking and all the text is fully displayed. The text in the video reads:
We stand for. We blog for. Blogging against Disablism. We flap for. We rock for. We stand, blog, flap, and rock for Respect, Support, Equality, Human Rights, Disability Rights, Autistic Rights. Don’t pity us. Don’t extinguish us. Accept us.
If you hit Deedeemom’s channel, check out his longer video presentation to the Autism Society “Day with the Experts”, which you can link to directly right here. The response to the panel question “Do ‘normal people’ sometimes scare you?” is pretty interesting, as is the presentation as a whole.
